East Durham Trust’s team of volunteers are what make our organisation so special, they give their time, skills, and enthusiasm to ensure that our services continue to run at a high standard throughout the year, allowing the Trust to support communities across East Durham. What We Do
We help the communities of the former district of Easington which is made up 20 distinct areas, most of which are former Pit villages that continue to be hugely affected by deprivation and health inequality. East Durham Trust’s operates on a ‘hub and spoke’ approach through well-established partnerships with our communities. We work directly with community members and partners to facilitate prevention, intervention and crisis support services delivered in our communities, for our communities and by our communities.
We empower people to take ownership of their own needs and work to lift up those most in need in East Durham. We help build and maintain meaningful relationships within our community ensuring those on the margins are helped to be in reach of a spectrum vital services.
