Our communities are facing many challenges. These affect our financial and emotional wellbeing. The East Durham Community Resilience Partnership is delivering activities that can help people meet these challenges in a constructive way. What do we do...
The Partnership is working across our local community to:
Help people deal with an immediate crisis and support people reach services that can assist them
Deliver sessions that improve financial and emotional wellbeing
Direct individuals toward opportunities that support financial and emotional wellbeing
The East Durham Community Resilience Partnership is tackling financial and emotional wellbeing side-by-side. We know that while the two are distinct they are often connected to each other. Financial Wellbeing Support is available in the community from: Easington Health Works (Every fortnight, Monday 1-3pm) Horden and Peterlee Rugby Club (Every Thursday 9.30-11.30am) Greenhills Community Centre, Wheatley Hill (From Friday 10th March -10am-12noon, 2nd Friday of the month) Where you can access:

What We Do
We help the communities of the former district of Easington which is made up 20 distinct areas, most of which are former Pit villages that continue to be hugely affected by deprivation and health inequality. East Durham Trust’s operates on a ‘hub and spoke’ approach through well-established partnerships with our communities. We work directly with community members and partners to facilitate prevention, intervention and crisis support services delivered in our communities, for our communities and by our communities.
We empower people to take ownership of their own needs and work to lift up those most in need in East Durham. We help build and maintain meaningful relationships within our community ensuring those on the margins are helped to be in reach of a spectrum vital services.
