Donations urgently required for our FEED Project

A huge "Thank You" to our friends at Merrick House for their generous donation of items to our FEED Project this morning.

In spite of this, however, our stocks are now severely depleted yet again, as demand continues to soar on a daily basis, far outstripping the level of donations we receive. This morning, for example, and within a matter of minutes, we had 6 referrals come in for food parcels to feed around 15 people, and yet more have been coming in this afternoon.

These photos, taken today, highlight the current lack of basic food items in our FEED cupboard. As you can see, we are in desperate need of all staple products, including tinned meat, tinned vegetables, tinned beans, tinned soup, tinned fruit and puddings, pasta sauces, Weetabix, tea & coffee, etc.

Any donation is, no matter how modest, will be greatly appreciated and will help support families and individuals in need at this time - Thank you!

What We Do

East Durham Trust is a flagship VCSE organisation for the 20 villages and 2 towns on the East Durham Coast. We are the 'go to' organisation in our community delivering a range of projects and services from crisis support  to art engagement.

East Durham Trust’s operates on a ‘hub and spoke’ approach through well-established partnerships with our communities. We work directly with community members and partners to facilitate prevention, intervention and crisis support services delivered in our communities, for our communities and by our communities.

We empower people to take ownership of their own needs and work to lift up those most in need in East Durham. We help build and maintain meaningful relationships within our community ensuring those on the margins are helped to be in reach of a spectrum vital services.
