Thank you to Emily from Sport England and Becks from County Durham Sport for delivering an interesting and highly informative funding advice session at East Durham Trust.
Healthwatch County Durham has been asked by the two Clinical Commissioning Groups in County Durham to gather feedback on the impact Care Navigation has had on the patient’s experience in Primary Care, i.e. GP services.
Care Navigation is the system where trained, non-clinical staff, talk to patients when they book an appointment, providing information about the professionals or services that may be suitable for a patient’s needs. Healthwatch County Durham role is to carry out an independent, confidential evaluation of Care Navigation. All responses are anonymous. Their aim is to find out what is working well and what could be done better. Complete our survey Today we were pleased to welcome Durham Police, Crime & Victims' Commissioner Ron Hogg to our SPIED (Stop Poverty in East Durham) Community Job Club.
The project is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund (formerly Big Lottery Fund) and was celebrating supporting 500 people through looking for employment via our job clubs across East Durham. Special thanks to the Durham Police, Crime & Victims' Commissioner for attending, Peterlee Police for popping in and to all the East Durham Trust volunteers and beneficiaries that attended to celebrate this landmark. Jess Green - BBC Slam Poet of the year will be performing alongside some amazing local spoken word artists. If you fancy a night filled with laughs, thought provoking performances and to support the young people from Wellfield School who have worked hard to organise this night then buy your tickets (on special offer of only £3) from the following link: here.
