Want to Volunteer?

East Durham Community Development Trust runs a Volunteer Bureau (VB) service. It helps people find out more about how they can get involved in the community by volunteering their time. It offers a range of voluntary opportunities, helping potential volunteers match their skills, interests and motivations to the voluntary vacancies on offer.

Volunteering can offer you the opportunity to:

  • Find out more about your community and what it has to offer
  • Structure your day
  • Find a new challenge
  • Gain valuable work experience
  • Build on your existing skills and gain new ones
  • Help you to be aware of the difficulties other people face
  • Make new friends
  • Increase your confidence
  • Involve you in your community
  • Gain a sense of fulfilment
  • Above all have fun!
