East Durham Belles Project Launch

Saturday 16th April,1pm until 5pm at Peterlee Leisure Centre. Free Creche and Transport Available.

East Durham Belles is an exciting new project which will encourage 1,500 women become more physically active over the next three years, helping to raise their confidence and fitness levels and offering them the chance to take part in challenges in a number of sports including swimming, rowing, running, cycling and triathlon.
The project will provide crèche and transport facilities in order to help overcome barriers that can prevent women from joining in sessions. Hubs will be developed across East Durham in Wingate, Easington, Peterlee, Seaham, Blackhall and Wheatley Hill where a series of fun challenges such as 5k runs, Coast 2 Coast Cycle Challenges and Try-a-Tri will be introduced to motivate and inspire women to participate.

The launch will showcase some of the activity sessions that will be available locally throughout East Durham over the next three years.
